How can a gallery space me made more inviting, more personal, more engaging? I certainly don’t want people looking at my work from behind a rope. The things I am making are made to be touched, played with, used, and experienced through participation. I see my work as a conversation between myself and the viewer. A tent-like structure would create a more intimate space within the gallery. The colours, textures and light would make a more relaxed atmosphere, and elements from the book would tie it back to the work. The structure itself relates back to the idea of the nomad, and of a transient, adaptable home.
